On Saturday, March 12th, Gentle World volunteers hosted a free vegan cooking class at our favorite NZ venue: The Herb Shack.

With 22 attendees who showed lots of interest in the vegan culinary techniques, the day was a fantastic success, as well as a whole lot of fun!

As well as demonstrating a number of delicious vegan recipes (see below), we also provided an introduction to various vegan products that are available for purchase at the supermarkets and health food stores, showing that it’s easier than ever to be vegan.

Amongst the recipes we demonstrated were the world-famous Banini (Vanilla Malted Shake), Chocolate Sunflower-Cashew Milk, Cashew-Carrot Paté, Raw Nori Rolls, Tofu Omelette, Banana Bread, and Creamy Chocolate Pudding.

It’s always a joy to have the opportunity to show people that healthy, cruelty-free food can be so delicious!
