This past week, we received word from New Zealand that our beautiful little friend Mighty has passed.
Thanks to our friendship with his human parents Cornelius and Anah, Mighty used to spend NZ summers with Gentle World in Shangri-La along with his sister Cozy (seen below).
He was much-loved by all, including our guests and visiting volunteers, and he was quite an entertainer, singing along whenever his ears picked up the sound of a harmonica. He even made an appearance in our YouTube video For the Vegan in Everyone, as a shining example of a ‘healthy, happy, tail-wagging vegan dog.’
Super-smart and full of personality, Mighty brought us a lot of joy and laughter, and as a short fellow with a bit of a napoleon complex, he always acted like a tough guy, so it felt like quite a privilege when he felt safe enough to show us his other side, when his guard was down.
Rest peacefully, little Mighty. We’re so grateful we got to spend that special time sharing Shangri-La’s magic with you. Thank you for all the gifts you gave.
